| ANTF recovers huge quantity of narcotics, two arrested | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 19: Anti Narcotics Task Force of J and K claimed to have arrested two inter-state narco smugglers and recovered a huge quantity of narcotics substance hidden under apple boxes.
0n a specific input regarding the smuggling of narco substances from Kashmir Valley to Punjab via Mughal Road, sleuths of Anti Narcotic Task Force swung into action and laid Nakas at various places on Mughal Road. During naka checking, a truck bearing Registeration Number JKOSG 9444 was intercepted and upon checking, huge quantity of Narcotic substance was recovered. Total 5OO kgs of Poppy Straw has been seized and two persons Imtyaz Hussain S/0 Mohd Hussain Shoel R/0 Chhachhwan Gool and Ubaid Ahmad Dar S/o Sona-Ullah dar R/ 0 Darsu khalsa Baramulla have been arrested.
Truck has also been seized and an FIR under relevant sections of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotripic Substances Act has been registered. Initial investigation has revealed that this consignment was being carried from Kashmir Valley to Punjab. ANTF is investigating forward and backward linkages of this Interstate drug racket. |
