| 27-year-old youth commits suicide in Budgam | | |

SRINAGAR, Aug 19: A 27-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging self in central Kashmir district of Budgam on Thursday.
Official sources said that panic gripped Mir Mohalla in Budgam when the body of a youth (name withheld) was found hanging from the ceiling of his room by his family in the morning. "The family immediately informed the police," they said, adding a team was rushed to the spot and the body was taken away.
They said it was not immediately clear why his took this extreme step, adding police has registered a case and initiated investigation to ascertain the circumstance which forced him to end life.
After completing all the legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased would be handed over to his relatives for last rites. |
