Atul Sharma visits Beekeeping cluster at Samba

SAMBA, Aug 21: Atul Sharma, Secretary J&K Khadi & Village Industries Board (KVIB) today visited Common Facility Centre of Honey Beekeeping cluster Samba.
He inspected the ongoing construction work of the Common Facility Centre (CFC) Samba of Master Ji Beekeeping KVIB Cluster financed under SFURTI scheme by the Government of India MSME and being implemented by KVIB. He said that the Cluster sanctioned at the project cost of Rs.133.65 lakh shall benefit all the Beekeepers working in the surrounding areas in its CFC equipped with modern machines in upgrading the quality of their honey, in increasing the income of Beekeepers, unit price realization enhancement, market expansion and exploration & Technical dissemination of allied bee products.
The KVIB conducted several contact/interaction programmes in the surrounding areas of Bari Brhamana Samba disseminating the schemes being implemented by it, he also visited the PMEGP & JKREGP units sponsored by KVIB. Tilak Raj, Dy. CEO KVIB Jammu Division, Sanjeev Dogra CEO ITCO and other senior officers of the KVIB were also present on the occasion.
While speaking on the occasion, Atul Sharma exhorted the youths of the area to come forward and establish their units under various schemes of KVIB thereby creating employment opportunities for not only themselves but for others as well.
During the occasion it was informed that the J&K KVIB under PMEGP during the year 2021-22 against the physical targets of 390 units and financial targets of Rs. 1170.60 lakh has sanctioned Margin Money amounting to Rs. 1415.00 Lakhs to 547 units. Similarly, against the targets of 437 numbers of units under JKREGP involving Margin money of Rs. 874.00 lacs, 191 numbers of units amounting to Rs.520.36 lakhs as Margin money have been sanctioned till date.
