| Checking of vehicles continues on 2nd consecutive day | | |  Early Times Report
REASI, Aug 21: The vehicle checking drive initiated by Motor Vehicle Department (MVD), Reasi continued today for the second consecutive day at Katra.
A team of MVD, Reasi led by ARTO Reasi, Rajesh Gupta booked the offenders for various violations of MV Act including driving without wearing seat belt, overcharging from passengers, vehicles fitted with pressure horns besides violations of COVID-19 related SOPs.
As many as 7 vehicles were challaned while 64 others were compounded. The MVD team realized an amount of Rs 62000 on the spot.
During the past two days a total of 22 vehicles were challaned while 76 vehicles were compounded. Rs 76500 was collected in two days during checking in various parts of Reasi district. |
