Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 21: Senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta lashed out at PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti for comparing Afghanistan situation with Kashmir and said she is has lost mental balance and is living in fool's paradise.
He was chairing a meeting of the party workers here at party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar. The meeting was also attended by several Corporators and other party leaders. The agenda of the meeting was to chalk out strategy for the upcoming Assembly polls in the UT and to bring more people to party fold by disseminating information among masses about the prolific policies of BJP and plans to realize PM Modi's development goals.
In an acerbic response to Mehbooba's remark comparing Kashmir situation with Afghanistan, he said that Mehbooba is deluded and not in her senses as India is not a meek country that handful of terror mongers can claim Kashmir. He said that if she is so impressed with the bravery of Taliban she is free to join them and share power in Afghanistan as no one in India will stop her from leaving the country. The BJP stalwart said as far as India is concerned no power on earth can even think of taking away an inch of the pious motherland. He said that using such diatribe she is trying to sway the innocent Kashmiris towards the scourge of violence which BJP government will never allow to happen. He advised Mehbooba not to act in the manner to brew unrest in Valley again and work in the direction to restore peace as this is the only key to attain an atmosphere where people can live a life of dignity and respect. Others present in the meeting include Vinay Gupta District President, Baldev Singh Baloria, Ankush Gupta, Pawan Singh Corporator, Narender Gupta Koki, Narinder Singh Bunty, Jyoti Parkash, Monu Salathia, Narotam Sharma and Sahil Mahajan.
