JAMMU, Aug 21: The Red Ribbon Club, Govt. P.G. College for Women, Gandhi Nagar in association with J&K AIDS Control Society, H&ME Department, Jammu, J&K UT organised an intra-college Mask Making Contest under the Azadi Ka Mahotsava on Covid-19 under the patronage of Principal, Dr Sangita Nagari. Students of the PG College for Women, Gandhi Nagar showed active participation in the event by making different types of hand made masks. This awareness campaign was organised for implementation plan for New India @ 75. The participants were judged by Dr Meenakshi Bandral, Associate Professor, Department of Zoology and Neelam Thapa, Assistant Professor, Department of English. Ila Verma student of semester 2nd clinched first position, Sonia Devi of semester 2nd secured second position and third position was bagged by student Nikita Rani of semester 2nd from GCW Gandhi Nagar Jammu. The winners will be rewarded with cash prize of Rs 1000, Rs 750 and Rs 500 respectively. Principal of the college, Dr Sangita Nagari appreciated the efforts of all the participants and emphasized the need of organizing such events. The event was organized by Prof Revika Arora, Nodal Officer, Red Ribbon Club and co-ordinated by members of Red Ribbon Club Prof Neelima, Prof. Manmeet, Prof Abhinav, Prof Ambica, Prof. Kusum and student committee; Ivanka Raman student Nodal head and Shalini Rasgotra, community head.
