JKIMPARD to host Mid-Career training for 30 senior JKAS officers from August 30 to Sept 10

JAMMU, Aug 21: In furtherance of the declaration of Behatar Nizam e- Hakumat- Kashmir Aelamia adopted by J&K Government and the MoU signed by Jammu and Kashmir Institute of Management, Public Administration (JKIMPARD) with National centre for Good Governance and Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Government of India, 30 senior Jammu and Kashmir Administrative service officers (JKAS) have been nominated by General Administration Department for Mid-Career training programme from 30th August to 10th September, 2020 for Capacity building in the field of Public Administration.
This is for the first time that the Mid-Career training programme has been designed for the senior officers of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir as per the new training policy of JKAS adopted by UT of J&K which is in line with the IAS training policy. This two weeks training is being organised by National Centre for Good Governance, New Delhi in collaboration with J&K IMPARD under the leadership and supervision of Saurabh Bhagat, IAS Director General, J&K IMPARD. This training programme will focus on changing Paradigm of Governance, public Contracts and Policies, Constitutional Foundation of Public Policy making, Right to Service, Innovation Creativity, Leadership, Ethics, overview of development schemes and sustainable development goals. In addition to this, a module on General Financial Rules 2017 and e-office will also be covered during the training programme.
The Course will also focus on exposure visits to best performing Districts, Good Governance Practices, Heritage visits and visit of Beaurau of Parliamentary studies training. The first week of training will be held by NCGG at LBSNAA, Mussoorie.
