Over 250 patients treated at medical camp organised by Siachen Brigade in Ladakh | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Aug 22: Over 250 patients and 360 animals were treated at a medical and veterinary camp organised under operation “Sadbhavan” at Diskit by the Siachen Brigade in the Ladakh region, a defence ministry spokesman said on Sunday. Col Emron Musavi said under the aegis of Fire and Fury Corps medical and the veterinary camp was organized to provide basic medical assistance to residents of remote villages of Nubra valley in Union Territory (UT) of Ladakh region. He said the camp witnessed a large response from locals who had come from far-flung villages. Col Musavi said over 250 patients and 360 animals were screened, diagnosed, and provided suitable medical treatment. In addition to medical treatment, the villagers were also educated on health-related issues, hygiene, and sanitation, and lifestyle diseases. The event was a big success and has further strengthened the bonds of friendship between the Indian Army and citizens of these border areas. |
