KATHUA, Aug 25: A camp was organized for distribution of assistive devices to 36 specially abled persons in tehsil Hiranagar by Social Welfare Department in collaboration with Artificial Limb Manufacturing Corporation (ALIMCO) under ADIP (Assistance to Disabled persons for purchasing / fitting of aids / appliances).
During the camp District Social Welfare Officer Abdul Raheem along with Tehsil Social Welfare Officer, and representatives from ALIMCO were present. An assessment camp regarding this was conducted earlier in the month of March, 2021, wherein 36 eligible beneficiaries were identified for different assistive devices to be provided i.e wheelchairs, hearing aid kits, tricycles, crutches, artificial limbs etc. |
