RCJ initiates project of making females self dependent | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 25: Rotary Club of Jammu Midtown on Wednesday initiated a project of making females of Sehora village self dependent by donating them two sewing machines, 200 meter cloth, paper and other necessary accessories for making cloth bags. The people living in Sehora village of Ward No 32 are Below Poverty Line and belong to the Economically Weaker Section of Society, so with the aim to make Sehora village 'A happy village' and to make females of village self dependent, Rotary Club of Jammu Midtown initiated this project so that females can earn their livelihood with their hard work. "Rotary Club of Jammu Midtown has adopted this village long back and we have promised to the people of this village that we will try our best to solve the problems of people living there," Rtn Meenakshi Bhasin, President of the club said. Earlier, welcoming the initiative of Rotary Club of Jammu Midtown, Corporator, Ward No 32, Sat Paul Karlupia said this project will boost the morale of housewife and girls to provide polythene-free society by making cloth bags. He expressed thanks to the club members for adopting village of his Ward for this noble cause. Other Club members present were Rtn Chakshu Kapoor (Secretary), Rtn Meena Jamwal (Asstt Governor), Rtn Swarna Jamwal, Rtn Sudha Kalra, Rtn Ravi Sharma and Rtn Prakash Kaur Jaggi. |
