JAMMU, Aug 30: Dr. Ramesh Raina was declared elected as the President of All India Kashmiri Samaj in just concluded its presidential election for the term 2021-2024.
The elections to AIKS, an apex body of Kashmiri Pandits are held every three years. Due to Covid Pandemic the elections could not be held on the scheduled date of May 15, 2021, therefore had to be postponed and the exercise conducted through postal ballot for which the results were declared on August 29, 2021.
Dr. Ramesh Raina a Doctor by profession is a well known socio-political activist who was its General Secretary (2009-2015) and is a prolific writer on Kashmir affairs. He writes for his blog pinpricks.home.blog and is a visible media face on Kashmir affairs. |
