| GDC Vijaypur organizes interactive workshop | | |

Jammu, Sept 1: Government Degree College (GDC) Vijaypur today organized one day online interactive workshop on “Solution for River Pollution”.
Prof. Poonam Kundan (Convener, Ecoclub), in her welcome address stressed upon various strategies of sustainable solutions for River pollution. She explained various short term and long term impacts of pollutants on our rivers. The overall proceeding of the workshop was categorized into two sessions. In the first session, Prof. Kundan in her presentation explained sources of river pollution and focused on various strategies to minimize river pollution. She also focused on various solutions at administrative as well as at community level and encouraged students for actively participating in awareness campaigns.
In the second session of the workshop, students of the college shared their views through PowerPoint presentations, oral presentations, poster presentations and model demonstrations on the various sources of river pollution and their solutions. The dynamic Principal of the College, Prof. (Dr.) Sangeeta Sudan, shared her views and suggested possible ways to achieve long-term environmental benefits as proper implementation of the proposed strategies will definitely be helpful for the global environmental sustainability. Dr. Sudan congratulated students, organising committee and coordinator of the workshop for such an informative, innovative and interactive workshop.
