PDP holds youth-cum-workers meet in Mendhar

POONCH, Sept 6: People’s Democratic Party today organized a youth-cum-workers meet in Mendhar area of district Poonch today.
The meeting was conducted under the chairmanship of Ch Parvez Wafa, Media Coordinator and Varinder Singh Sonu, Additional Spokesperson. Incharge Youth Peer Panchal, Advocate Sayed Majid Shah and Sardar Waseem Khan and Nadeem Khan, senior party leaders were also present.
Speaking in the meeting, Ch Parvez Wafa informed that the meeting was conducted in connection with Madam Mehbooba Mufti’s visit to the Pir Panchal range from September 14 to September 18, 2021. He said that there is gross resentment against the people for abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A from the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir. He claimed the BJP had lost the moral right of claiming to be the champions of the Jammu cause. He said the people of Jammu are feeling let down as the entire system of governance has gone haywire. The senior PDP leader said that the party has always worked for strengthening the secular fabric of J&K and will fight all divisive forces which are hell-bent upon tearing apart or creating a wedge between region, countries and people on the basis of religion, caste, language or ethnicity.
Varinder Singh Sonu claimed that BJP Government in the midst of a collapsing economy, turning a disaster into an opportunity to fill its coffers. He said government has broken all records of profiteering by exorbitantly raising excise duty instead of passing on the benefits to common people, adding that every household was hurting due to the increased price of basic commodities. Soaring prices are breaking the backbone of poor, utility services are in a shambles, grievance mechanism is in complete disarray and all sectors of development are suffering inertia, he added.
Nadeem Khan, senior PDP leader said that the youth of Jammu and Kashmir have suffered the most during the BJP’s rule of over seven years of ‘misrule’ in, and the electorate has firmly taught the party a lesson by power of their votes for the betrayal. He said that due to lack of policies the unemployment is peak in Jammu and Kashmir.
