Jammu, Sept 10: Department of Punjabi, GDC R.S Pura organized an offline extension lecture under the guidance of Principal of the college, Dr. G.S. Rakwal and supervision of Dr. Anuradha, HOD Punjabi as part of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’. Mr. S. Popinder Singh Paras, Editor Sheeraza (Punjabi), J&K Academy of Art Culture and Languages was the resource person in the event. The programme started with a welcome address by the worthy Principal.
Singh, in his address spoke about the Punjabi literature in detail. He also talked about the sacrifices made by Shri. Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. He exhorted the students to inculcate Punjabi language in their daily lives. About 20 students participated in the event. Prof. Neelu Gupta, Prof. Esha Abrol, Prof. Shaveta Chowdhary and Prof. Kiran Pathania also attended the event. The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Dr. Sheetal Devi. |
