JAMMU, Sept 11: In connection with celebrations of Ganesh Chaturthi festival, a beautiful idol of Shri Ganesha was installed after proper pooja archana at Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir, Gandhi Nagar Jammu and 10 days celebrations started in which besides, trustees and special invitees of the Trust led by Gulchain Singh Charak Former Minister and President of the Trust, large number of devotees participated.
These celebrations will continue up to Sepember 19 when as per the traditions after performing special pooja the Murti will be taken in a colourful procession to the ghats of holy river Chenab near Jia Pota Akhnoor and the same will be immersed there culminating the celebrations. In view of the pandemic the public is requested to participate in the celebrations observing proper SOPs and guidelines issued by the administration.
Prominent among those members of the Trust present on the occasion were S C Rekhi (Gen Secy), Deepak Gupta, (Treasurer), Prithvi Raj Vaid, Kulbushan Bali, Harish Malhotra, Prashant Sharma, P C Gupta, Ashok Khajuria, Ajay Sharma and others. |
