JAMMU, Sept 11: Kudo Association of District Jammu affiliated with J&K Kudo Association recognized by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Govt of India and SGFI on Saturday organized a programme in Jammu where many Coaches and Karatekas from different styles of Martial arts join Kudo under the presence of Chairman Jammu Province Puneet Arora, District President Gulshan Rattan, Joint Secretary Himanshu Heer. On this occasion, Vishal Manyal joined as Vice President Jammu Province along with other Coaches Aman Verma, Manjeet Kumar, Rohit Kumar, Amandeep, Rubby, Shivani Charak. SDPO Pooja Nijon was chief guest on the occasion. Appreciating the organizer of Kudo in J&K, SDPO Pooja Nijon said that one of the purposes of martial arts is to train the mind and body to become strong and utilize that strength for the improvement of our community. Also it is a useful method of cultivating the youth who will contribute to the society through the tough times and events in their life, she said. Speaking on the occasion, Puneet Arora said that Kudo is a mixed Budo sport comprising full contact punches, kicks, throwings, and submission techniques on the ground. Kudo has its origins in Kakuto Karate (Combat Karate), but It is not just a mixed fighting with emphasis on competition side.
