| NYK organizes District level Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Sept 11: As part of celebrations of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Kathua is organizing “FIT INDIA – FREEDOM RUN” from 13th August to 2nd of October 2021 in 75 villages of District Kathua with objectives of to encourage people to take up fitness activities such as running and sports in their daily lives. In this connection, NYK Kathua today on Sept 11, 2021 organized District Level FIT INDIA – FREEDOM RUN 2.0 in which over 200 Youth hailing from Barwal Athletic Youth Club Barwal, and over 45 other Youth Clubs and Mahila Mandals participated.
Rahul Yadav, Deputy Commissioner, Kathua was chief guest on the occasion and flagged off the Fit India Freedom Run 2.00 from GDC Kathua.
The chief guest inspired and motivated the youth to be physically and mentally fit, play active role against drugs abuse, and be ambassador of fit India and involve more and more persons in fitness activates in your village and areas.
On the occasion all the participants were administered pledge by Ranjeet Singh Pathania, President Barwal Athletic Club, and also sung National Anthem.
Over 200 Youth both male and female with full enthusiasm started the run from GDC Kathua, passed from all the main bazaars, shouting slogans in praise of nation. On the way youth also paid rich tribute to Kargil martyr Shaheed Capt Sunil Choudhary. |
