JAMMU, Sept 11: To commemorate the “Azadi to Amrit Mohtsav”, Red Ribbon Club (RRC) and National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of the GDC Basohli celebrated the “World First Aid Day” under the auspices of IQAC and patronage of Dr. Nidhi Kotwal, Principal of the College. Dr. Mehtab Bhagat, Assistant Surgeon, Community Health Centre, Basohli was the resource person and delivered a lecture on the topic “Preliminary First Aid measures against sudden/accidental health crises”. The event commenced with a welcome address and brief introduction by Dr. Shiv Kumar, Officer Incharge, RRC and NSS units, GDC Basohli. Dr. Mehtab delivered a detailed lecture on the first aid measures by citing few of the emergent situations like, skin damages, burns, accidental fractures, snake bites, dog bites etc. He also addressed the queries raised by the students and staff, by giving effective suggestive measures to control the situation. More than 20 students along with teaching and non-teaching staff participated in the lecture. |
