Ayushman Health Insurance camp held in Bhagwati Nagar | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 12: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor Parmodh Kapahi on Sunday organized Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) camp at Peela Mandir Bhagwati Nagar in Ward No 14. The health insurance camp was inaugurated to launch the scheme here in which a large number of residents of Ward No 14 participated. Speaking on the occasion, Parmodh Kapahi said the AB-PMJAY aimed at providing coverage of Rs 5 lakh per family annually, and a beneficiary covered under the scheme would be allowed to avail cashless benefits from any public and private empanelled hospitals across the country. He said in Jammu district, around 99 per cent of the verification process for eligibility under the AB-PMJAY scheme had been completed in urban and rural households had been identified. He added after proper identification, a card will be issued to each beneficiary. Kapahi asked the Health Department to conduct capacity building programmes for the officials and organize awareness camps at block level so that distribution of smartcards among the eligible beneficiaries to avail the annual health cover facility could be achieved. |
