Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 22: NSS unit of GGM Science College today in extension to previous workshop Har Ghar Poshan Tyohar carried out plantation drive in college campus on day one of two day workshop as an initiative by Ministry of Youth Affairs and sports GoI in order to ensure community mobilization and boost people's participation under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav. Poshan Vatika a small piece of land where 30 saplings were planted in support of District Forest Office Jammu. As per "GREEN JAMMU & KASHMIR DRIVE". The plants Gulmohar, Guava, Catuma stem, Raat ki rani, Mango, China rose, Chandni etc. were planted. The NSS volunteers Anchal, Shaku, Nancy, Shriya, Neeru, Divya, Pranav, Ajinka, Aaghav, Meehika, Neharika, Uzma, Kartik participated enthusiastically. The main objective was to give message to ensure supply of nutrition through organically home grown vegetables and fruits simultaneously and enriching the soil . The awareness drive aims to make sure that all in the family specially children and women should not become victim of mal-nutrition. |
