ABKMT celebrates Maharaja Hari Singh’s birth anniversary | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 23: Akhil Bhartiya Kshatriya Mahasabha Trust (ABKMT) celebrated birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh with full fervor in its Ghou Manhasa Jammu Office. Aadil Manhas (State President ABKMT), Rishipal Singh Parmar (National President ABKMT) and Parshotam Amit Manhas (National General Secretary ABKMT) highlighted and acknowledged the great contribution of its founder and paid rich tributes to Maharaja Hari Singh. It is due to Maharaja Hari Singh that Jammu & Kashmir become a part of India when he signed the Instrument of Accession on October 26,1947, they said. Apart from that, Maharaja Hari Singh was the last ruling Maharaja of the princely State of Jammu and Kashmir. He was a progressive and far sighted ruler who instituted many social and economic reforms for the welfare of the people, they added. ABKMT team members including Anirudh Manhas, Shikha Manhas, Ketan Jamwal, Aadish Jamwal, Shivam Jamwal, Gifty Jamwal, Sourab Partap Singh, Varun Jamwal also highlighted Maharaja’s achievements. They urged Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to declare Maharaja Hari Singh’s birthday as a public holiday in Jammu & Kashmir. |
