Pakistan’s sinister designs: Alert sounded in Kashmir ! | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Sept 23: Following inputs of an apprehended terror strike in Kashmir, an alert has been sounded across the valley. Highly placed sources said the security forces especially the Jammu and Kashmir Police have been put on high alert across all the districts of Kashmir. Sources said the intelligence agencies have inputs that a terror group based in Pakistan has “directed its cadres in Kashmir to carry out some terror strike in the valley.” Sources quoting intelligence agencies said Pakistan based terror group has asked both the militants and their over-ground workers to carry out the terror strike in the next around a week. “The kind of specific inputs we have suggest that either they (militants) or their over ground workers are planning to carry out the strike… But having got the inputs we’re fully prepared to foil any such nefarious designs,” said a senior official on the condition of anonymity. Its pertinent to mention that there has a been a sudden surge in the militant attacks in Kashmir in the last few months. Around half a dozen grenade attacks have taken place in Kashmir in the last around a month. The north Kashmir district of Baramulla is already on alert in the wake of inputs of infiltration in the Uri sector. The Army has launched a major hunt to track down as possible infiltrators, while phone and internet connectivity in the frontier area have been snapped as a part of security measure. Senior officials believe that the enemy country in frustrated by the improvement of situation in Kashmir since the abrogation of the so called special status of Jammu and Kashmir and thus “want to keep the pot boiling.” “Basically all such acts are signs of frustration on the part of the enemy (Pakistan) who wants to keep the pot boiling in Kashmir for its vested interest,” said one official on the condition of anonymity. |
