| Pregnant lady’s throat slit body found in Banihal | | |

JAMMU, Sept 23: The body of a pregnant lady with slit throat was found on Thursday at her residence in Banihal tehsil of Ramban district in Jammu and Kashmir.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramban, P D Nitya here said that at about 0830 hours police received information that one pregnant lady namely Zubaida Begum, wife of Mohammad Saleem Kumar, resident of Darshipora, Banihal was found lying in a pool of blood with a slit throat.
Led by senior officers, a police team was immediately dispatched to the spot.
Sensing some mischief, she said that police have taken cognizance and a case has been registered.
The investigation is underway and all possible angles are being explored to find if any foul play has happened, said the SSP. |
