| NCP celebrates birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh | | |

JAMMU, Sept 23: Youth wing and senior leaders of NCP celebrated the birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh. Paying tributes to the Maharaja, Rishi Kaul Kilam, National Joint Secretary and spokesperson said that Maharaja was known for his high virtues, secular character and his achievements especially in the field of education and agriculture are known to all.
Rishi said that Maharaja deserves respect and reverence for his remarkable deeds. He owned and respected all religions. He said that it is surprising and ironic that the JKUT BJP when in helm of affairs and power in the central government neglected his birthday by not declaring holiday on this day.
The demand for holiday was not fulfilled. He said the JKUT BJP want to show their solidarity with the people of Jammu by showing their presence at the statue of Maharaja when in power in the state BJP could not declare holiday on his birthday and played with the sentiments of Jammu people.
