| GDC Kathua celebrates 52nd NSS day | | |  Early Times Report
Kathua, Sept 24: The NSS Units of Govt. Degree College Kathua celebrated 52nd NSS day in the College Auditorium today. The celebrations started with the lightining of the traditional lamp by the Chief Guest Prof. Jaswinder Singh vice-Principal of the College followed by NSS Song.Other faculty members Prof Seema Malpotra, Prof. Raj Kiran, Dr.Rachna Devi, Dr.Shub Kumar Sharma,Dr Pankaj Gupta ,Dr.Kailash Sharma, Dr Kamaldeep Singh,Dr.Shamsher Singh and Director Physical Education Dr Jogbinder Singh Soodan were also present on the occasion to grace the occasion.A welcome address was delivered by NSS Programme Officer Prof. Neha Bandral who also gave a brief overview of the National Service Scheme in India and its purpose. A detailed report on the activities during the session 2020-21 was read by Senior most volunteer Naman Dogra. The cultural events included a dogri dance, Gidda and solo performance by Rahul and Rohit Kumar in dancing and singing were presented by nss volunteers. The event ended with the energetic Bhangra performance by the volunteers. Nss Volunteer Miss Sakshi Bhau and Abhishek Singh conducted the proceedings of the programme. |
