J&K Offset Printers’ Association demanded single slab of 12 percent GST | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 24: The J&K Offset Printers’ Association has demanded single slab of 12 percent GST on all converted/printed products. An urgent meeting of the office bearers of J&K Offset Printers’ Association was held to protest against the irrational imposition of flat 18 percent GST on printing industry. It was unanimously decided to stand in solidarity with Prof. Kamal Chopra President All India Federation of Master Printers which has rightly presented the facts. Previously, there were 3 GST slabs in printing industry 5, 12 and 18 percent on different kind of products. Printers of the country were facing lot of confusion while calculating GST for different items. Requests were raised at various platforms for simple one GST for all the products of Printing and Packaging industry. |
