DLIC approves 84 new cases of Customized Livelihood Generation Scheme -Mumkin | | | Early Times Report REASI, Sept 24: District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) on Customized Livelihood Generation Scheme "Mumkin- New Possibilities" today approved 84 new cases at its meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Charandeep Singh, taking the total number of approved cases so far to 154. At the outset, the DC called upon the members to spread mass awareness about the scheme to attract the eligible candidates for taking its benefits. The concerned officers apprised the committee that a list of eligible unemployed youth has been prepared and is being scrutinized based on the guidelines as laid down by the government. Under this scheme, the eligible youth are being encouraged to start a sustainable livelihood in the transport sector by providing them financial assistance in the form of 20 percent subsidy on purchase of small commercial vehicles like taxis, mini bus, light commercial vehicles, tempo and other modes of transportation of similar nature under public carrier permit. Chief Planning Officer, Sunita Kanchan; General Manager DIC, Gurdev Kumar; Assistant Director Employment, Naresh Kumar among other members of DLIC were also present in the meeting. |
