Status of ongoing railway projects in Uttarakhand discussed | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 24: Ashutosh Gangal, General Manager Northern Railway held a meeting with the Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand today in Dehradun. The officials discussed the status of the various ongoing railway projects in the state. The Chief Secretary requested the GM to complete the projects on time so that the people can benefit from the new facilities. He also assured that all cooperation will be provided from the state administration for expeditious completion of these projects. The GM then called on the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami. The Chief Minister appreciated the work being done by the Railways in the state to provide an all-weather convenient mode of transportation to the people. Earlier in the day GM inspected the Dehradun-Motichur rail section. He inspected the newly constructed platforms at Dehradun station. He also visited the washing line and the station premises. He inquired about the status of other developmental works coming up in the station area. He said that railways is putting in all efforts to complete the major connectivity project Rishikesh-Karnaprayag BG line on time so that people of the state as well as the tourists and pilgrims visiting the state can benefit from it. |
