Cannot let terror dictate who lives here, who doesn’t: Omar Abdullah on recent civilian killings in J&K | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Oct 7: Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah has reacted to the recent killings in the state. Omar Abdullah said, “The targeted attacks in Kashmir are designed to drive fissures and widen the gap between communities. We cannot let terror dictate who lives here & who doesn’t. It is imperative that all of us belonging to the majority community reach out to those who today fear for their lives.” Earlier today a school principal and a teacher were shot dead by unidentified militants in the Safa Kadal area of Srinagar on Thursday. The victims were identified as principal Supinder Kour (44) and teacher Deepak Chand of Government Boys Higher Secondary School in Sangam. Both were residents of Alochibagh. Both of them were rushed to SKIMS hospital in Soura but were declared dead on arrival.
