BASOHLI, Oct 8: As a part of the “Clean India Campaign” under the aegis of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, the NSS unit of the Government Degree College (GDC), Basohli organized a “Plogging Run” in the college nearby Panchayat Plahi, under the patronage of the college principal, Dr Nidhi Kotwal. During the run, NSS volunteers handpicked the garbage including plastic leftovers, polybags, used disposal kinds of stuff, and then disposed of the waste properly. Volunteers also interacted with the local public, shopkeepers, etc., and motivated them for the proper dispose of the waste generated locally. The whole event was performed under the supervision of Dr Shiv Kumar, NSS Programme Officer. |
