GDC Basohli conducts cleanliness, plantation drive in GPS Diara | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Oct 12: Under the aegis of “Clean India Campaign”, the NSS Unit of GDC Basohli conducted a cleanliness and plantation drive at Govt Primary School (GPS) Diara (Basohli). The programme was organized under the patronage of Dr Nidhi Kotwal, Principal of the College and executed under the supervision of Dr Shiv Kumar, NSS, Programme Officer. Firstly, volunteers performed the cleanliness drive by collecting fallen leaves, twigs and uprooting bushes from the campus. Later, they conducted the plantation drive and planted various plant samplings of shady, ornamental and medicinal value. The School Incharge, Narinder Singh thanked the college Principal for talking such initiatives and performing cleanliness and plantation drive in the school campus. Dr Kotwal thanked the Sub-District Forest Deptt Basohli for providing plants and applauded the efforts of the NSS team and further encouraged them to continue their future services to society.
