Kathua, Oct 21: Mansi Rajput D/O Yograj Singh, a final semester student of Govt. Degree College, Kathua has brought laurels to the College by cracking the Graduate Aptitude Test of Biotechnology (GAT-B) and has secured All India Rank- 104 (Unreserved Category). This exam was conducted by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India through the National Testing Agency for gaining admission into DBT funded M.Sc. Biotechnology course in various universities of India. Mansi has now secured a seat in the School of Biotechnology, University of Jammu, and will be eligible for a scholarship of Rs 5000 per month continuously for two years from DBT. Giving hope to many, Mansi Sharma has become one of the few successful students from Kathua District to crack the prestigious GAT-B Exam that too while hailing from Hatli, a rural area of Kathua district. For her exemplary achievement, Prof. Raj Kiran Sharma, Principal of GDC Kathua felicitated her in presence of faculty members Prof. Jasvinder Singh (HOD Physics), Prof. Rakesh Jasrotia (HOD Chemistry), Prof. Shub Kumar (Associate Professor of Physics), Dr. Kailash Sharma (HOD Mathematics), Dr. Suraya Partap Singh (HOD Zoology), and Prof. Kaurab Singh (Assistant Professor of Biotechnology). Prof. Raj Kiran congratulated her on this achievement and wished her success for future endeavors.
