KATHUA, Oct 22: To pay tribute , salute and gratitude to the martyrs who laid down their lives in the line of duty for the sake of the nation, IRP 19th Bn organized grand National Police Day Parade-2021 at Battalion Headquarters Kathua where SSP Benam Tosh, Commandant, took the salute and read out names of the martyrs. SP Santokh Raj, Deputy SP Kuldeep Raj Tripathi, Deputy SP Updesh Kumar, all Inspectors and all senior NGOs of all companies present on the occasion laid flower wreaths at the Martyrs Memorial and paid tributes. 'Shaheedon Ko Salaami' followed by "Shok Shastra" presented by the ceremonial National Police Day Parade amid martyrs music, bugles, band and related songs to pay homage to the martyrs of Police, BSF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, CISF, NSG, RPF, Assam Rifles, NDRF, FS, CD & HG. National awardee Prem Krishna functioned as Parade Commander whereas Shamas-ud-din was designated as Second- in-command Parade Commander. Manzoor Ahmad performed duties as I/C Roll of Honour Party. This National Police Day Parade also called as Police Commemoration Day Parade was organized on the pattern of J&K's main National Police Day Parade function. SSP Benam Tosh on the occasion said that J&K Police has been playing pivotal role in fight against militancy ever since it raised its ugly head in J&K and officers and jawans have been laying down their own precious lives every year to save the precious lives of others especially civilians: children, women and elders of the society. |
