Retired police personnel hold protest, project demands | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 5: A protest was held at Press Club Jammu against the discrimination with J&K retired police pensioners in pay anomaly. The protest was carried out under the chairmanship of Ajit Singh. The protesters demanded that Govt. Order No. 229 - F of 2014 dated 17-10-2014 regarding pay anomaly should be given the effect from 1996 when 5th pay commission was implemented throughout the state. They said the present SHO's do not bother much about the circulars issued with respect to solution of retired police personnel. The protesters said that medical allowance paid by central government since July 2017 is Rs. 1,000 whereas in Jammu & Kashmir it is Rs. 300 adding that same should be increased. The protesters said that one percent reservation for admission in profession colleges and in recruitment for the children of police personnel should be given. |
