AAP leader Rajesh Gupta expresses concern over lack of streetlights in Jammu | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 21: Rajesh Gupta, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Vice President Jammu -Poonch parliamentary constituency has expressed shock and anguish against Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) as some roads continue to be in darkness. Gupta said that said main roads in police lines Gandhi Nagar, Green Belt Road, Wazarat Road and other link roads as well as localities are totally dark in the evening. The AAP leader said that these street lights have been installed with the purpose to illuminate the streets of the locality which otherwise prior to the installation of these LED lights- the streets were under darkness in the evening and commoners in general and masses in particular face immense hardships- but in Eidgah road Janipur and New Rehari wherein also these LED lights were installed by the JMC which are now under the control of some people of the locality illegally and put these lights on switch off and switch on mode as per the own choice and thus irritating the common people. |
