Prabhat Pheri taken out on eve of Kaal Bhairav Jayanti

JAMMU, Nov 21: On the blessed and auspicious occasion of the annual Shree Kaal Bhairav Dev ji Jayanti celebrations to be held at Shree Bhairav Dev ji Temple Bhairav Chowk the spiritual beginning of the best started today with the soul cleansing "Prabhat Pheri".
In the wake of ongoing Covid- 19 crisis the week-long celebration have been curtailed to 5 days only keeping in view the safety of one and all. Under the Chairmanship of Pandit Rumil Sharma, the decoration and preparations continued to be same as per previous year. Otherwise the annual holy week long religious programme is celebrated with great fervour and utmost enthusiasm every year to pay obeisance to "Shree Kaal Bhairav Ji". As per Mahant Rumil Sharma," All prayers are incomplete without paying obeisance to Shree Kaal Bhairav Ji who resides in Bhrikuti (eye brows) of Lord Shiva and is equally important to Lord Ganesh who is offered obeisance before the start of any prayer."
Every year during this pious festival people from all walks of life be it any caste or creed take active equal and dedicated participation in the spiritual week long journey of "Baba's Jayanti " to safeguard themselves from all kind of evils, he added.
Sharma informed that a Prabhat Pheri was taken out early morning by the devotees of Kaal Bhairav. A large number of disciples from all caste and creed participated with intensive emotions, fervor and religious zeal. The Parbhat Pheri passed through the various parts of old city besides famous temple and again culminated at Kaal Bhairav Temple, he added. Pt. Rumil Sharma said that Kaal Bhairav Jayanti falls on November 27.
