DC reviews implementation of employment schemes, directs Banks to act as facilitators

REASI, Nov 21: District Development Commissioner Reasi Charandeep Singh today convened a meeting to review the implementation of different Schemes, with special focus on employment generation programmes.
The DC asked the departments to update status & progress of all Self Employment Schemes and quantum of credit extended viz National Rural Livelihood Mission, National Urban Livelihood Mission, Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme, Mumkin and other Schemes.
ADDC Jyoti Salathia; CPO Sunita Kanchan; PO ICDS Renu Kumari; AD FCS&CA Mohd Sayeed; CHO Brij Vallabh; CAO Sudhir Singh; CEO Mohd Aziz; GM DIC Gurdev; DSWO Gulshan Kumar; ARTO Rajesh Gupta, LDM, besides other officers were also present.
The DC asked the Banks to improve credit flow under Government Sponsored schemes like Atma Nirbhar Bharat, extend Banking services to all unbanked areas and conduct Financial Literacy Camps in the district.
He directed different departments to highlight the issues which can leave an impact on Employment generation for the public.
During the meeting, concerned officers presented the status of various developmental works undertaken in Health, Education, Rural Development, PDD, Agricultural and other sectors. It was informed that the approved outlay of Funds for the year 2021-22 for the district is Rs. 112514.36 Lakh and the availability of funds is Rs. 13616.75 Lakh, while the expenditure till date as per the availability of funds is to the tune of Rs. 10174.84 Lakh, which is approximately 75%.
While taking a sector wise review of major developmental works, the DC emphasized on adopting coordinated approach for achieving the desired results. He stressed to ramp up the pace of work so that all the undertaken projects are completed well within the stipulated time period.
The DC urged upon the departments to identify the bottlenecks, if any and bring them into his notice so that they are sorted out at the earliest.
