JAMMU, Nov 21: Due to the ongoing decimation of the Congress in the political arena and probability of its final end, dozens of its senior leaders from its Kathua unit left the party and joined Shiv Sena during a simple yet impressive function held here today. These leaders from the party's Kathua unit attended the programme to join Shiv Sena in the presence of party's Jammu and Kashmir state president Manish Sahni.
The new entrants into Shiv Sena including Congress leader Mohinder Pal Sharma besides other party activists bade farewell to Congress and joined hands with Shiv Sena. President UT J&K, Manish Sahni along with Gen Secretary Vikas Bakshi, Chairman Rakesh Gupta, Vice President Sanjeev Kohli, and President Kamgar Wing Raj Singh welcomed these leaders with Shiv Sena's mark and Bandhan. They made the new entrants aware about the party's ideology and policies and then administered the Oath to them to serve the society, nation and religion.
