| 3 bovine smugglers arrested, 8 bovines rescued | | | Early Times Report
SAMBA, Nov 22: District Police Samba successfully foiled attempts to smuggle bovines by arresting 3 bovine smugglers rescuing 8 bovines in two separate incidents in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal.
Acting on a reliable information, a Police party of PS Ghagwal while performing routine vehicle checking duty in Ghagwal area, signaled to stop a Mahindra Pickup vehicle having Regd. No JK02CS-7066 coming from Border road Rajpura-Ghagwal and during checking of the vehicle, 4 cattle were found laden inside the vehicle without any permission.
The accused driver namely Sunil Kumar S/o Krishan Lal R/o Deoli, Bishnah along with his associate Anil Choudhary S/o Tarsem Singh R/o Nekowal, Suchetgarh have been arrested on the spot. All the cattle were rescued and shifted to safer place. The vehicle used for transporting the bovines was also seized on spot.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 199/2021 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act stands registered at PS Ghagwal and investigation started.
Similarly in another incident, a Police party of PS Ghagwal arrested a bovine smuggler namely Harpreet Singh S/o Satnam Singh R/o Bhopalpur, Pathankot and rescued 4 more bovines which were being transported in a Mahindra Bolero with Registration number JK02CQ-8806.
All the bovines were rescued and shifted to safer place. The vehicle used for transportation of bovines was also seized on spot.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 200/2021 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act stands registered at PS Ghagwal and investigation started. |
