| ANTF conducts raids in Delhi, Ghaziabad, arrests two inter-state drug dealers | | |

JAMMU, Nov 22: Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) J&K conducted raids at various parts of Delhi and Ghaziabad and arrested two drug dealers. Both the arrested persons were wanted in various cases of ANTF and were the main distributors and suppliers of banned pharmaceutical drugs to J&K. They were operating from Delhi and its adjoining areas including Ghaziabad.
Two teams of ANTFw were constituted which were led by Inspector Sunil Singh Jasrotia and Inspector Ankush Chib under close supervision of DySP Arun Jamwal. These teams conducted series of raids in Delhi and Ghaziabad areas and with the help of Delhi and Ghaziabad Police, were able to arrest two most wanted drug dealers. They are Ajay Gupta @Bunty S/o Gulab Chand Gupta R/O Govindpuram, Ghaziabad and Shirshak Sharma @ Honey S/o Hari Krishen Sharma r/o Naveen Shahdara, Delhi. Both have been arrested in case FIR No 45/2020 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act P/S ANTF Jammu.
They used to stock and Store banned Pharmaceutical drugs in go-downs and later used to supply these drugs to various parts including J&K. Pharmaceutical drugs like Codeine Phosphate, Spasmo Proxyvon, Tremadol are fast replacing traditional drugs like Heroin, Cocaine etc and their abuse has seen a rising trend amongst the innocent youths. With the arrest of these two main suppliers and distributors, ANTF has been able to break the main supply network of these kinds of drugs to J&K.
