PIL regarding policy for maintaining student-teacher ratio in schools | DB grants two weeks time to file status report | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 22: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by All Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh Teachers Federation seeking direction to state for framing policy for maintaining student-teacher ratio in the schools without any discrimination and implement the same in true letter and spirit, a division bench of High Court comprising Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur and Justice Mohammad Akram Chowdhary granted two weeks time to file Status report as per earlier direction. It is worthwhile to mention here that earlier the DB directed the AAG Ravinder Gupta for the Education department, to file another report as to the status of all the projects. This significant direction has been passed by DB after noticing that a fresh status report was filed by respondent 1 on 13-5-2019 and observed that in respect of various infrastructure projects mentioned therein, it is not clear whether those projects have been completed. |
