SRINAGAR, Nov 23: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday arrested three drug peddlers during a naka and recovered contraband from their possession at Bijbehara in south Kashmir district of Anantnag, a Police spokesman said.
He said police established a naka at Bijbehara on a tip-off and frisked three persons, identified as Mehraj Ahmad Sheikh, Mohammad Altaf Baluki and Rayees Ahmad Lone.
During search, 12 kg Charas powder was recovered from their possession.
The accused were arrested and a case under relevant Sections of law has been registered against them, police said and added that further investigation was taken up in this matter. |
