New Delhi, Nov 23: Shri Ashutosh Gangal, General Manager, Northern Railway inaugurated the Boxing Academy at Karnail Singh Stadium, New Delhi on 22.11.2021. On the occasion senior railway officials of Northern Railway and Northern Railway Sports Association were present. The boxing hall at Karnail Singh Stadium having Two boxing rings (16 x 24 feet), 3 to 4 feet high platform, covered by 1 inch padding topped by stretched canvas, 12 punching bags, 2 ring speed bag, 5 mount uppercut shield and high quality mat is the first and only state of the art boxing hall in the entire Indian Railways. With international grade boxing rings and boxing equipment, the facility will train Railway Boxers & Young boxers to excel in their fields. The facility is being managed by Dronacharya Awardee Shri Jaidev Bisht. |
