KATHUA, Nov 23: Government Degree College (GDC) Kathua organized a felicitation ceremony in the honour of Padama Shri Prof Shiv Dutt Nirmohi. The programme started with traditional lamp lightening by the chief guest along with college principal and faculty members.Incharge Principal, Prof Raj Kiran Sharma presented official welcome note on this occasion. On this occasion a book Titled “Zila Kathua Mein Sahityik Sanchetana” written by Onkar Padha, retd teacher, also released by Padma Shri Prof Shiv Dutt Nirmohi. Incharge Principal along with senior faculty members presented a Shawl and memento as a token of love to Padma Shri Prof Shiv Dutt Nirmohi. On this occasion, chief guest Padma Shri Prof Shiv Nirmohi while addressing gathering threw light on his journey from a school teacher to achieving Padma Shri Award. Prominent educationist from Kathua District Prof Ram Murti Sharma, Prof Dhian Chand, Prof Ram Swaroop and senior faculty members of GDC Kathua Prof Romila Guleria, Prof Shub Kumar, Prof Rakesh Jasrotia, Dr Rachna Devi, Prof Shivani Kotwal, Prof Shub Kumar Sharma, Dr Kailsh Sharma, Prof Jasvinder Singh, Dr Jogbinder Singh were also present on the occasion. Prominent writers of Kathua district Mangal Das Dogra, Khajur Singh, Dr Karan Singh, Tilak Raj Sumbria, Sham Lal Khajuria and Dr Vaishno Devi also attended the programme.
