| People object to supply of substandard ration to Anganwari center | | |

KISHTWAR, Nov 25: People in remote Bhandera area of Kuntwara falling under Panchayat Bhutna Churyana of Drabshallla block objected the supply of sub-standard ration to the Anganwari center where the parents has assembled to collect the ration for their children which is being distributed among them uncooked due to COVID-19.
As per the details available with Early Times the people took on Sarpanch Rajni Devi for providing substandard ration to the children and seek explanation from her who turn furious and allegedly used abusive and threatening language against some women whose children are enrolled in the said Anganwari center.
Some people even captured the video of the heated exchange. The female Anganwari worker submitted a written complaint with CDPO Drabshallla who brought the matter into the notice of concern District Officer. The locals informed that the Sarpanch is using her muscle power to gag them adding that she even lodged a false police complaint against the husband of one of the women who objected the alleged harassment and threatening approach of the local Sarpanch and demanded action against her. |
