AKHNOOR, Nov 27: Suresh Sharma, member District Development Council, held a review meeting with the officials of the Flood Control Department and Irrigation Department at PWD Guest House, Akhnoor. In this meeting, new projects of Block Maira Mandrian and Block Chowki Chaura were discussed.
Sharma, while discussing with the officials of the Flood Control Department, said that during the rainy season in the past, there has been damage to the houses and lands of the people, which at that time were told by the people, were completed quickly. The works for which tenders have been floated should be done at the earliest.
Sharma said that the remaining work remains under the centrally sponsored schemes at Keour Nala, Kathar Nala, Barui Nala, Bala Nala, Godan Nala, Sial Nala work should be done. He issued guidelines to the officers of the department and said that new projects should be made for all the areas left, before the monsoon so that there is no problem during the rainy days. |
