YCET organizes webinar on "National Education Policy" | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 27: The Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) organized a webinar on "National Education Policy" for Computer Science & Electrical Engineering students today. The session began with welcome address by Er Dinesh Gupta, HOD (CSE Deptt) and President, IIC Cell. The Resource Person for the webinar was Dr A Kanaka Durga, Director Academics & Audit Prof in IT, IQAC Coordinator and NSS program Officer. She gave important information about the National Education Policy. Quality of Higher Education aims to develop good thoughtful, well rounded & creative individuals. Three categories of institutions exists; First-insisting on Multidisciplinary Education, Second-Encouraging Innovation and Out of Box Ideas and Third- providing Community Participation. She emphasized on invention and innovation i.e. creating a new product and adopting a new product to make tasks easier and faster. The students were fortunate to have got the chance to attend this webinar for increasing their knowledge and creative extravagance along with the expert from the concerned field. The guests remained highly commemorative of the efforts of the organizing CSE Department, YCET for getting the best out these opportunities, which are being provided under the well wishes of the YCET management. Prof (Dr) AK Srivastava, Director, YCET appreciated the efforts of CSE/IT Department and motivated the students. He said that as per new Education policy the students should be encouraged to think about skill development. It will be easy for industries to provide the right job with right skilled people. He said that such session will be very helpful to the students. The session was coordinated by Er Robin Kumar, Coordinator of CSE department who also gave a formal vote of thanks. |
