RAJOURI, Dec 4: In commemoration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Department of Punjabi of GDC Sunderbani organized an inter-college essay writing competition on theme “Wild Life Conservation’. In the competition, a large number of students of different colleges took active part. The programme was conducted under the supervision of Prof (Dr) Vandana Gupta, Principal of the College. Accordingly, the purpose of organizing essay on this theme is to spread awareness about preserving earth’s endangered flaura and fauna. The entire programme was coordinated by Prof Beant Singh, HoD Punjabi and Prof Sheraz Kousser, HoD Sociology. Prof Sham Lal, HoD Economics, Dr Amita Sharma, Kuldeep Raj and Dr Shehzad were the judges in the event. In the competition, 1st position was secured by Rimpy Kumari BSc III sem from DAV College for Girls Yamuna Nagar, Haryana, Palak Goria BA Vth Sem from GDC Sunderbani secured 2nd position while third position was shared by Priya Sharma and Palak Sharma, both the students of BA Ist- Sem from GDC Sunderbani. |
