Start up programme begins at University of Jammu | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 4: University of Jammu Special Purpose Vehicle Foundation (UOJSPVF) started the first batch of eight week innovation ideation start up programme. The inauguration was done by Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu Prof. Manoj Kumar Dhar. Prof. Parikshat Singh Manhas Director & CEO of University of Jammu Special Purpose Vehicle Foundation was present on the occasion. The Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu said that students are the future of the nation. He inspired the participants to take the risk for their future growth and encourage them to define their goals with a clear vision in their life. He motivated the students to develop a personal career plan and discover what’s next in the career and challenges in the global era. Professor Manhas stated that this programme aimed at providing the pathways to the participants to start their own business. He elaborated the basic aim of such programs and discussed the vision of UOJSPVF. Prof. Manhas gave examples of successful entrepreneurs who had started in a humble way and now are successfully running their business not only at national but at global level. He elaborated that this is the first step of training and after this successful participants of this program would be train ed by various national and globally acclaimed experts too. Chartered Accountants Sahil Malhotra and Akhileshwar Salathia were the resource persons on the occasion. They explained the various benefits of entrepreneurship and startups and elaborated on how they can provide employment opportunities to youngsters. The resource persons provided an insight on the government’s vision on launching the start-up India programme. |
