JAMMU, Dec 4: The two-day long First Aid Orientation Program organized by the Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region concluded today. The programme was scheduled for the doctors from different districts of Jammu Division. Dr Shelly Mahajan, Medical Officer IRCS, Jammu Region trained the doctors about ABC of First-Aid, Triage, Traumas, etc. Besides that, practical demonstration was given on Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), transportation of injured patient and scenarios showing handling of multiple casualties at the time of disaster, road side accidents, cardiac emergencies were also being done with active participation of the doctors. The training was formally concluded by Vinod Malhotra, Honorary Secretary, IRCS Jammu Region. He thanked all the doctors for their participation and expected that these doctors will not only educate more volunteers but prepare them to act accordingly if any accidents were to occur. |
